I. Tekin, weaving overseen by Karakus, woven by Akile, Sultan
and Hacer, yarns dyed by Mustafa, finished carpet washed by
Abdurrahman and Abdullah, final shearing by Saban, completed in
October of 2007 in Yeni Cerit. The design combines the
classic Star Ushak field with a floral major border that appears
in both the Star and Medallion Ushak rugs. Naturally dyed
colors include indigo dark and light blue, medium green, white,
madder red, weld yellow and naturally black sheep's wool. |
